I am sitting here typing this review for you while slathered in my new favourite face mask from Dublin Herbalists. It smells good enough to eat, feels fantastic and leaves my face as soft as a newborn’s bum. I just gave myself a little stroke there to confirm. I am delighted with myself.
Claire Gardiner, creator of Dublin Herbalists skincare, got in touch with me a while ago to ask me if I’d like to try out some of her new products. Sure didn’t I nearly bite the hand off her.
See now, this is exactly what a hardworking mama likes to receive on a Friday afternoon after a very long week! Check out my beautiful gift from the @dublinherbalists range. Looking forward to trying out the products and reviewing them on the blog. The collection is blended in Ireland and is entirely #vegan. They look and smell divine! I’ll keep you posted! . . . #dublinherbalists #buyirish #naturalskincare #veganskincare #madeinireland #treatsformama #skincare #naturalbeautyproducts #treatyoself #100%natural #ipbig #pbloggers #irishbloggers #productreview
What drew me to this skincare range is that the ingredients of every product are 100% natural, have no chemicals, parabens or sodium lauryl. In fact, the range boasts a vegan status and obviously therefore is not tested on animals. I’m fairly sure you could pop a spoon of it into your mouth if you wanted to, they smell that good. (Don’t do that though). To finish off their sustainability credentials, packaging is biodegradable and recyclable, while also being ridiculously beautiful.
Apart from these thoroughly green attributes, are the products themselves good? My opening paragraph probably already gave the game away but three products in particular really impressed me, including the aforementioned Restorative Gel Face Mask (100ml, €29.95). The Exfoliating Cleaning Gel (100ml, €18.95) goes on dry as a gel but transforms into a moisturising oil and then a cleansing milk when removed with water and gives a gentle but effective exfoliation. Used twice a week really makes a difference. The Hydrating Face Serum (30ml, €21.95) gives my Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Oil an excellent run for its money. The products themselves also stretch quite far, so while the price tag is a premium one, I am still working my way through the small sample pots in the picture above.
The range also includes body and baby products, and three lovely gift sets (€40-€45) which would make beautiful presents for the new mama – or any mama – in your life. This is a really lovely range from an Irish company. It’s great to see such good quality, homegrown products competing with global brands.
Disclosure: I received the pictured sample pack from Dublin Herbalists for the purposes of reviewing the enclosed products. I did not receive any additional payment for this review. All opinions, as always, are my own. I make no apologies for my gushing review.
